Right to Inforamtion Act


The Right to Information Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha in December 2004. It was passed by both the houses of Parliament in May 2005. The assent of the President was received on 15th June and the Act was notified in 'The Gazette of India' on 21st June, 2005.

The Right to Information Act (RTI Act) will cover all levels of government Centre, State, District and Loacal self Governing bodies like Panchayats and Municipal bodies. It will also cover non-NGOs, Cos and other private bodies that are financed substantially with public funds provided by the Government.

As a step to proactively desclose required information regarding the duties and day-to-day functioning of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd. Informatin manual has been prepared in line with the provision of RTI Act 2005 and put up on official website www.getcogujarat.com

For obtaining the information of GETCO manual which shall be available in library of GUVNL at 1st floor Sardar Patel Vidyut Bhavan Vadodara during the working hours from 10:30 AM to 6:10 PM on week days for reading the manuals.
